Elytra Thrusters

Adds the "Thrusters" Enchantment 🚀

  • This enchantment propels the player forward while gliding
  • Hold SNEAK while gliding to brake (disables propulsion)
  • The propulsion velocity increases with each level (Max III)

Updated to Beta Version 1.0.0 🥳

  • "Thrusters" enchanted books can be found in end city treasure chests
    • Thrusters I (10%) Thrusters II (5%) Thrusters III (3%)
  • Adjusted flight speeds:
    • Thrusters I is marginally slower than constant flight duration 3 fireworks (~75%)
    • Thrusters II is marginally faster than constant flight duration 3 fireworks (~130%)
    • Thrusters III is MUCH faster than constant flight duration 3 fireworks (~250%)
      looking at likely further limiting Thrusters III in a future patch for better vanilla friendly-ish balancing
Config Options (& How to Enable the old "Boost" Enchant)
  • Provides a few config options ⚙️
    • Added toggle to revert any "Thrusters" book to a "Boost" book on pickup 😎
      • /scoreboard players set .UseLegacyEnchant 1
      • defaults to 0 (false)
        • Thrusters I -> Boost I
        • Thrusters II -> Boost III
        • Thrusters III -> Boost IV
    • Added toggle allowing the reload message to be disabled
      • /scoreboard players set .BroadcastReloadMessage 0
      • defaults to 1 (true)
    • You can view the current config values at any time with:
      • /scoreboard objectives setdisplay sidebar ElytraBoostConfig
      • to remove display: /scoreboard objectives setdisplay sidebar

WARNING: the "Boost" enchantment is from the Alpha version and is MUCH stronger. I am leaving it in for those who used this pack in alpha to continue support and as an option to new downloaders - but it is WILDLY UNBALANCED from standard gameplay so please be sure to test it out prior commiting to its full implementation!!
